The flush packed up on our Triton, we moved to the bottle of water method, couldn't get revved up about faffing about.

Again thanks for staying with me!! Magnets in place so no problem there. Before I consider ordering a new reed switch and perhaps the other electric board in the housing under the toilet button, I guess I need to check electricity is getting to the toilet area - can you advise me which colour live wires I should check? Presumable those in the cassette department? On another matter, what is the suggested grease/lubrication to use on the large rubber ring on the cassettes main opening 'hatch'?

But haven't you already done this, Andrew?...

There is electricity coming through to the compartment housing the fuse

+12V will be blue, 0V brown * These will originate from the BIP unit (the beige box with the trip switches and fuses), so just look for the (probably white) cable containing these wires entering the toilet compartment from the BIP's direction.

Silicone grease in a spray can. Also use to lubricate the window seals to keep them supple and to prevent them sticking to the windows during long periods of non-use.

* As specified under the new (to the UK) harmonised wire colours for DC ELV in the 17th Edition electrical regulations.

We have now gone down this road mainly to save weight . I refuse to go anywhere that has not got a w.c so I cannot see the point in carting a gallon or so of water around just to rinse the loo. Also we no longer have to cart around the large bottles of Thetford Chemicals, another weight saver. When we first had the van the toilet didn't work so we put in a new pump then when that didn't work we put in a new circuit board, every thing works now so we don't use it. Cool.
