The part you refer to was I believe made out of thin aluminium and sold through the Movera website. It was in effect a short water shoot that clipped into the awning/gutter rail.
Somebody on another channel posted a plastic home made version some years ago.

I managed to solve the worst of it by simply rolling up a short length of gaffer tape and pushing it into the lower of the two channels.

Ear noise protection bungs rolled up and fit into rail, they expand and stop the rain travel,
