To wave or not to wave, that is the question.

When I had my VW campervan we used to wave at other VW campervans and they would wave back. The same thing applied in my Caterham 7 and the same happens now when driving my Defender and we meet another Defender. My question is, do us Eribafolk wave to each other.
So far, I've only towed the van about 10 miles, to bring it home, but will shortly be off to Wales for our first outing in it and don't want to make a fool of myself

We all wave at each other, I always find that the Eriba is on the other side of the motorway so we don't always spot each other...
When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

We keep a Very pistol and a handful of cartridges in the glove box for exactly this reason. Firing a maroon out of the sunroof whenever we see another Eriba is immensely satisfying.
Actually, that isn't quite true because we don't have a sunroof, as we found to our cost the first time we tried it.
We had to stop and wind the windows down because the flare filled the car with smoke and we couldn't see where we were going. We were both coughing for days afterwards, and every time either of us blew our nose the hanky was full of purple bogies.
And boy is that pistol loud in a confined space.
Mrs P's ears are still ringing.

We wave or flash (wait for it) as we did with our Westphalia 73 bay. We do on le-continaunt also but rarely get a response.

I wave, even when not being pushed, saw some foreign plater in Cardiff leaving one evening and waved and guess what, they were laughing AND waved back so I guess despite Brexit we all know why we are waving whether in tow or not! toot toot wave

It's funny explaining to non-Eriba people how excited we do feel when we see another Eriba.
Every time you pitch on a site with another Eriba on it seems that within 5 minutes you are chatting with them, usually followed by non-Eriba vanners who want to tell you how cool your van is and many say that they have always loved Eribas.it gives a very warm feeling. MikeT

We wave, it cheers folk up (and we take the risk that some people cannot be cheered up). We have a synchronised wave sequence all done to a count. 1,2,3 Right arm and hand up, 1,2,3 rotate 3 arm and hand from the elbow (like a royal wave) then down. It’s cracked a few people up and we get a laugh.
