Is it me or do I have a problem with my electrics?
I bought my Eriba about six weeks ago and it has been parked in my drive since then.
I removed the battery and charged it prior to bringing the van home as I needed the motor mover to park it. The battery has not been charged since but it can still drive the motor mover.
My problem is I cannot get the 12v system in the van to work. No lights etc. I have followed the Instruction manuals as far as possible but they seem to be talking about someone else's van. I have two 2-gang switches, one below the 12v on-off switch on the wardrobe and one by the entrance, both unmarked, I'm not sure what they are for. I only have three lights in the van, they each have their own switch built in and I assume they are 12v. I haven't yet hooked the van up to 240v.
Should I be looking at getting a caravan engineer to check it?

Not an easy one to answer and you will not find it in the manual as motor movers as far as I'm aware were never factory fitted.
It will therefore be an after market add on either by a dealer or an independent person. It follows that some provision to power a mover had to be added.
To further complicate things not all vans were fitted with a battery as standard either thus complicating things even further.
You say you have only had it for 6 weeks, is it possible to contact the previous owner to ask advice?
I myself had a van with both no battery or mover until this time last year when I had a mover fitted ...... by default that meant having a mover, battery and battery charger all fitted at the same time.
You see now why your question is not so straight forward to answer.
My set-up will no doubt be different to yours but a little info anyway in case it helps.
There were 2 extra switches fitted one to turn the mover on and off and the other to allow for using the battery when not on hook-up (sound familiar?)

Arrowed red turn on to use mover turn off when mover not in use.
Arrowed blue turn on 12 volt to lights water pumps etc when not on hook-up (must be off before hook-up or you have 2 lots of 12 volt connected at the same time. )
A view of the rest of the bits arrowed green is the added battery charger,

If you can't figure it out yourself or get help from the previous owner it may be an option but it will cost you for time including traveling.
Some pictures of your set up might help.

In your 2014 Triton the 12v system is automatically isolated every time the towing electrics are connected. The mover is not as it is connected straight to the battery. On the side of the wardrobe there should be a single large switch to reactivate the 12v system. The double gang switch is for the lights but will only operate once the 12v circuit is live.

Hi,
I am certainly no expert but could the switch by the entrance be for the awning light which will not operate until hooked up to 240v?

Hob, Frantone & Williebraveheart. Thank you for your help.
The van has the Ladesystem CSV 409 power supply unit which includes a battery charging system, together with a 110 Ah battery and motor mover. I believe these were fitted when the van was new.
There is only one battery isolator switch. When this is off the motor mover won't operate. I switch this on when trying to operate the 12v system.
I do have a 12v on/off switch. This is in a panel that also incorporates two other rocker switches.
There is also a switch by the entrance that operates the awning light as well as the 2-gang switch.
I will try to post some pictures when I find out how to. I'm afraid I'm not very good at this sort of thing.

The 12v switch that you operate to use the mover is only for the mover. It does not control the 12v circuit that supplies the power for the lights and pump, toilet flush etc.
The switch marked 12v in my picture above is the one to reactivate the circuit each time the Eriba is disconnected from the towing vehicle. It does not have off and on positions it just depresses to turn the circuit back on.
The switches below it are for the interior lights.
Turn the light switches on then try the 12v switch above them. If this does not work it suggests there is a fuse gone or the supply unit is turned off?

It is me. Just found a 40A fuse that had been removed and was hiding behind the battery. Is it usual to remove this fuse if the van is not being used?
Thanks again for all your advice. I'll be back soon with more numpty questions.
Alan
PS. The unmarked switches operated lights I didn't know were there so I now have seven interior lights
