For a number of years now, we've been fitting the following refective strip onto our rear window handles.

Made from an old reflective vest stiffened up with a bit of cardboard and hooked over the two window handles with elastic. We can been seen from a long way back.

We've also made a third brake light as per this past thread :- Fitting a Third Brake Light to Older Vans.
