I don't think I'd bother with a dedicated noseweight gauge. And I wouldn't bother with a spirit level either. You'll be able to get pretty close by eye
I never use a spirit level, I have 2 x plastic Fiamma levelling ramps that are stored under my gas bottle as I never use them, noseweight? I know what it feels like by weight, and we always load the same way
Lots of things we "think" we need are a waste of money, we don't even carry a water roll or waste water container, we use plastic bottles and always use the onsite facilities
In principle I completely agree with Agger's "travelling light" philosophy. But in practice you sometimes need to compromise — and that doesn't apply only to caravanning. But let's stay on topic: For example, one of our planned trips for later this year, up the east coast to Whitby, involves overnight stops at CLs, few of which have onsite facilities. So you need to have at least some water for washing and washing up. And over Easter we stopped at a lovely Caravan Club site which, so we thought, advertised level pitches. Not so: a good job I borrowed my pal's Fiamma levelling blocks "just in case", otherwise Weasel the whippet would have been rolling out of bed. Mind you, I only needed one block, not a pair, and couldn't understand why anyone would need two until I saw the motor homes nearby. And mind you again, it was a
lovely site in spite of the slopes.
