There is a German/Austrian/Swiss Eriba configurator online, which includes ability to add all the options and it works out price and weight. German language only, but otherwise very easy to use.

Hope a UK version is coming.

Good idea and Google automatically translates but it doesn't seem to give you a total weight at the end, though it adds up the option prices. And if you tick the GT Pack it still allows you to order the items in the pack separately so you could double count stuff.

PS what does the 'PH' tag on the 540 stand for?

Thanks for the link. I couldn’t see the PH so not sure. When you go through in the original german language on a desktop, it remembers the GT package and adds up the weight - I guess it’s something that only happens in german.

It’ll be nice if they bring an english one to their site, shouldn’t be too hard for them as it just words and a price list.

Sorry, it says 540TH, not PH and it isn't there on the first page, only on the second page after you select 540.On checking all the other models, none seem to have letters after their model numbers.

One other thing the configurator has highlighted for me is that they say that having a silver exterior adds 30kg to the vans weight, but I can't believe it adds 30kg to a Familia and a Triton and a Troll. Surely there must be some variance between models?

How can paint add 30kg? Or is the silver exterior a different metal? Not being in the new Eriba bracket I have never paid any attention to these differences.

It's a completely different metal skin, presumably a thicker gauge than the white bobbly stuff to add that much weight. I guess the bobbles in the white stuff imparts additional structural strength so it doesn't need to be so thick.

I wonder how the drag co-efficients compare between the two exterior finishes. Maybe those nice folk at McLaren would run a wind tunnel comparison for us.

I've just noticed the footnote that says all weights are for an average vehicle, which is fair enough as we know actual empty weights and MIRO's can vary from the published figures due to manufacturing tolerances. So I wonder if the 30kg for the silver exterior is for, say, a Triton and would be a bit lower for a Familia and a bit higher for a Troll?
