I think I'm ok as I held / hold current UK, German and a few other countries licenses, having passed my test in their country on one of their examinations? I'd have to querie it though

An IDP is only £5.50 per annum, won't break the bank.

That's all very well but at the moment I don't have to pay anything and there's no danger of me forgetting to buy a permit in time. .

When I drove to Benidorm in my '64 1071CC Cooper S back around1972/3 you had to have an IDP and a Bail Bond for Spain. So if it happens it'll be winding the clock back 45 years.

Those were the days few cars on the road, and few motorways, but proper sight seeing, every French towns centre ville.

We've been in the EU for so long that it will be a learning curve for a lot of us. Best not to worry until it happens. Deal with it then..
