Whilst away at Easter, I noticed a steady drip, drip, drip from under the shower tap after filling the tank and using the tap for the first time. Water was starting to pool on the shelf in the cupboard under the tap. After mopping it up, I isolated the tap, so that we could continue to use the one in the kitchen.
I didn't blow through the pipes back in February when we last used the Eriba, and didn't open both taps when I drained the onboard tank. I didn't realise at the time that I needed to do this, but I've since read some comments on this forum about winter prep. Following the February trip, we had the two Beasts from the East, so undoubtably, any water still in the taps and pipes would have frozen, then thawed before Easter.
Is there a strong chance that the cold snap could have damaged the tap, and if so, are we talking tap replacement or consumable parts replacement? I know it's hard for you guys to say, but what should I be looking for in order to diagnose one or tother?
Cheers.
