Hi

I want to take my 15 yr old son away with me in a few weeks time. The plan is for him to sleep in the front dinette which converts to a single bed across the full width of the Troll 540.

I’m suddenly having a panic that he won’t fit as he’s 5’10” tall. I haven’t collected my van from the dealer yet so can’t measure the interior width. Can anyone tell me the length of the front single bed please.

6ft 6ins or 6ft 8ins so you needn't worry.

We have a Troll 540 and I had to sleep on it for a couple of nights last year whilst my daughter and grandson shared the big bed with my wife. I am 5ft 11 and nearly 16 stone and I slept on it like a log. I slept with my head at the bathroom end and it was really cosy. If a big lump like me can sleep on it a teenager should have no problems at all. MikeT

I often use ours ‘cos it’s cosy 😴 and any visiting grandchildren sleep there.

Do I need to worry about the bed collapsing - see thread above!

Our 17 year old daughter has slept in the front bed/dinette of our 2015 Triton 3 times now (total of 6 nights), she tosses and turns all night making the whole van shake and no issues for us yet with the lower table rail coming loose or the bed collapsing.

I have a 540 too and my son came away with us for a long weekend, he's 5'11 and had no issues at all, therefore think it will be fine.
