Herzim strip profile ?

I am about to do the herzim strips on my Puck. Some seem to measure 12mm and some seem to be 15mm.....well that got me thinking. If their purpose is to keep water off the screws, then they should fit quite snugly. So....if I fitted a 15mm strip instead of a 12mm one, the only difference would be a rounder profile..wouldn’t it ? The other quandary is that the short on by the table rail seems to be a right angled one ? Anyone know why ? TIA.

The Herzim strips purpose isn't to seal joints or protect screws from rust - it's fitted to hide the rail's fixing screws, and to give the rail a bit of glamour.

You'll really struggle to get 15mm strip into a 12mm slot - it's hard enough getting the 12mm in there.

The best strip to use is the original type supplied by Hymer. It's a thinner material than Herzim and much easier to fit.

Jandi can supply it at not much more money than Herzim.

Hello Andy
If you can wait until the Summer Meet, we have loads left over from when we did our van...it's silver grey in colour and 12mm. Wherever we bought it from had a minimum charge and think I ended up with about 25M!!...should be enough to do your puck.
