Just introducing myself and my wife Erika as proud owners of a brand new Triton 430GT. We're thinking of buying an Isabella sun canopy or maybe even making one for ourselves, but are unsure of the size of the awning piping that will fit into the beading channel along the side of our caravan. Thanks, Chris.

I am currently sitting next to our 430 sporting an Isabella Shadow.
You require the 3m length. The awning cord on it is dual 6 & 4 mm. You use the 6 mm part.
Do not be tempted to buy any end panels and keep an eye out for second hand on the likes of Gumtree and Preloved.

Hi Colin
Is that in the garden or on your travels????
Currently on the banks of the Cher in the Loire. Travelling home on Wednesday, so with rain forecast took down the Fortex awning and put up the Isabella as I don't want to be putting that away wet. I'm pleased at how it is throwing off the water with a central guy rope pulling the canvas into a v shape.

Hi Colin, sorry it's been raining, but good idea. We have an open canoe and have often thought of paddling the Cher. Can you recommend a couple of campsites?

Le Moulin Fort, Francueil near Amboise is our favourite. We have visited this for 7 years now, spending between a few days and three weeks.
The site is UK owned and has a loyal following of UK and NL visitors. Riverside pitches are much in demand and some are booked up 5yrs in advance. The site is favoured by the more mature traveller at this time of the summer and for the last week has been suprisingly full. The only empty areas are the non electric pitches used by tenters in high season. Teenagers are a rare site here, very young children can be found high season
Facilities are fine, electric at only 6 amp causes no problem. Pitches are generally large, pool is unheated but nice. Restaurant food is a bit basic, but a small shop area covers things you forgot and bread to order on a daily basis. Cycling in the area is good, villages and a good range of supermarkets some a nice cycle ride away, others within 5 miles. The area is quiet even in high season with places to visit. http://lemoulinfort.blogspot.com

It too is situated by the Cher with direct access from the campsite and has the advantage of being only a few minutes' walk from the town centre and its shops, bars, restaurants etc. The Chateau de Chenonceau is a 7 km bike ride/walk along the lovely riverside path.
Can you recommend a couple of campsites?

Hey, thanks for that Colin, the river looks great there, as does the surrounding area. We always take our bikes with us as and love walking too. The site itself looks lovely. Thanks, Chris.

I made our sunshade with a tarp from decathlon. A bit flappy in the wind, but super light and compact. It goes up in about 3 minutes.
