help every topic that carries a photo is following by German info on that photo and i cannot open it, what have i done or not do that will allow me to open photo when clicked on.

When it will not open automatically with a single click, you normally see a little yellow symbol telling you to Ctrl click not just click :)

I've just checked a few posts and all the photos opened up perfectly when left clicked. Can you give a specific example of one which you cannot open and we'll try to help?

One problem is that new members don't always read the advice provided in the 'Help for contributors' section before leaping in feet first. In essence use 'Attach file' and DO NOT use 'Fotos hochladen'.
