Replacing insulation and facade on 1960 Faun

Hi all! We bought a 1960 Eriba Faun. There was a vinyl fabric covering the insulation (it was torn all over, so I took it out). Question: when I replace the insulation, should I look for vinyl/ headliner fabric again? Would it be ill advised to use 1/8" plywood? Thanks folks!

Hi Lauren and welcome to Eribafolk.

A similar question was asked by a vintage Puck owner a few years ago. I pointed out that there is an adesive backed Jute hessian available from any number of sources including Ebay and the Puck owners thought it fitted the bill perfectly.

I've also seen pics of owners using rolls of thin cork.
