We did similar some years ago and replaced the original cover with one of these, Premier Housewares Round Bamboo Cutting Board with Metal Handle - Natural from Amazon.
Remove the handle and the board fits in the recess lip of the sink.

The 2012 models didn't come with a chopping board/ sink cover as standard. I did enquire about buying one, the cost would have been £100 with p&p. I managed to get a generic caravan sink cover for about £20, if I remember rightly it was for a swift item code CSCB2 .
My 2015 Familia came with a chopping board/sink cover, the reverse side has a plastic cutting area..if you want to use it. I do use mine to give me extra space on the kitchen area. As suggested dont tow with them in place as they start to act like a Frisbee flying around the van.
