We won't be using our Eriba any more this year mainly due to the cost of ferries .
So we are going to start sprucing her up for next year . Just taken down the curtains for a wash and noticed that the elasticated string has become very floppy . Does anyone know where this string can be obtained ? Other than Jandi .

I bought this, I got the 2mm which was perfectly ok but I think 3mm or 4mm would be better. I used a bowline knot to form a loop at each end.

I used a Double Fishermans Knot - well a variation on it. It has the advantage of as the shock cord stretches, you can re-tie one of the knots and make adjustments to the overall length and, therefore, tension... Oh, and I didn't know it was a Double Fisherman's knot, I had to look that up!

to be pedantic I realise I used a "figure of eight" knot. Both give a fixed loop at the end :)

Try bouncingrabbit.co.uk, I bought mine here and I also bought from them the stretchy cord that goes around the pop top.
Lots of colours to choose from.
