With my eriba having just a round sink and no drainer I've been trying to look for the ideal compact/folding draining board/rack. i sent off for one silicon rubber type rack but didn't relies it was full of holes in the bottom to go on top of an existing draining board. has any one found/using the perfect one?

Stick a towel or a plastic drip tray under it

Thanks for the reply. i could put a towel under it but trying to dry towels in wet weather in a caravan isn't ideal & i'm keeping my eye out for a tray the right size to fit under the rack but also deep enough unless i come across the perfect rack first. I relies when they design theses caravans they try to keep them simple but were not always staying some where with showers, toilets & pot washing facilities. The difference in cost at manufacturing level to put a drainer and a duel gas/elec water heater would be very little on the caravan compared with retro fitting.

many thanks

We have been using one of these for the last three summers. https://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Smart-Micr...-Mat-/34-3733-2
It's brilliant. We lay it over the glass hob cover and he who washes shakes the dishes before placing on the mat for she to dry. When finished the damp mat is left in place and dries out naturally, partly from any heat coming up from the fridge below the hob.

ps - we have seem similar in the likes of ALDI and LIDL. Dunelms and The Range and B&M could also be worth a look.

I bought one of these https://www.kampa.co.uk/accessory/slimline-drainer. It suits us.

Google Kampa Collapsible Drainer Grey 2019. It has a decent size drain tray which sits on our glass cooker top next to the sink for dishwashing. Folds down to nothing and lives under the sink. Wouldn't’ Be without it now. Costs about £12.

This one is lovely but not that compact.
This one is a bit pricey but looks like you could maybe just roll it up.
Reckon this one might be the winner though.

I find the sink too small to use for washing up. All dishes go in a proper washing up bowl on an outside table or up to the washing up facilities and back in the same bowl but dry and clean.

I bought something that looked like that off amazon and it had drain holes in the bottom, Just read the reviews on the Kampa Collapsible Drainer Grey 2019.& it says that also has holes in the bottom. We tend to like quiet site in the country ( i hate the ones where there's a caravan every few feet) and some have now washing or shower facilities.

thanks.

We had a "Genius" butterfly dish rack for years in Marmite. When we were clearing her prior to selling her it was spotted by Daughter No 2 who said OOh that's clever so we let her take it and it now resides in Nottingham. Went to order a new one only to find that it's out of stock Grrrr!

We use a thing called a tray, have done so for many years. No need for anything else. Oh yes, and a tray can be used for other things as well!

It just shows how different we all are and how many ways there is to skin a cat. We've carried a tray for many years [well it does look useful in IKEA doesn't it] and I finally turfed it out as it's never been used. So far, two years down the line, I haven't been found out.

Kampa Large Folding Collapsible Drainer

“It’s ideal for those sinks where you don’t have a draining board as it comes complete with it’s own water catching tray, complete with spout to easily pour away the water it collects”

Even Mrs Calamity who is a gadget Luddite appreciates it!
