Many years ago, 2006 we decided to spend christmas away in our first Eriba, Triton 430 purchased from Frantone in 2004. We booked a site near Bridgenorth in Midlands so we could visit the area, Iron Bridge etc We arrived onsite booked for a week and had the Soplair awning with us. It was so cold I was getting frostbite from the poles putting up awning. A very nice guy in WWB close by actually came out in the cold to help me erect awning. The temperature in daytime was -5degC The site had a lake with lots of ducks which was frozen so was quite comical watching them coming in to land on the water (sorry ice ) Lots of crashes observed. We cooked the christmas bird in the awning (Guinea Fowl) on Cobb BBQ the condensation from the cooking formed lovely frozen balls on the inside of the awning chipped off for the cocktails. While there because of cold the battery packed up in Landy so had to walk everywhere until Halfords opened after Christmas. Happy times
