I have searched the forum for advice on how to treat all the different surfaces and cant come to a conclusion. I'm so sorry as a newbie to bother everyone with requests you have probably seen a million times!

As i have a fairly modern 2007 puck L the sides are made out of one material and the top and roof are made from another all smooth

Even after a good wash, the sides are still greying and the top dullling in areas and slightly yellowing.

I tried T cut gently on the sides and this seems ok on a test patch.

I am looking at a marine cleaer like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/MEGUIARS-M4916-...V2HFVCH0D8NBXPT

to use on the top to remove yellowing and dullness.

What I dont know is what is my puck L 2007 made from ?!! i think the top and roof are fibreglass with a gel coat, but what are the sides - are they sprayed metal, plastic, or are they gel coat as well?

So to give it a really good cleanse and polish and revive I'm thinking:
1. t cut the white wall panels then turtle wax
2. use a marine oxydisation remover on the roof and top, and then turtle wax
3. the silver bit at the bottom - just clean normally and polish
4, the aluminium gas door which is corroding at the bottom ?? remove all the laquer, spray silver and re laquer?

I dont want to remove the surface of the caravan !!!!

Someone with more technical knowledge will no doubt be along shortly but BE CAREFUL. The top is indeed GRP but the sides are aluminium and the paint is micro thin. Cutting it may well remove the paint. I know my limitations and leave the cleaning to my hubby but I do know you need to go gently.
Over to the experts .............

Just an update,

I washed the van with fenwicks caravan cleaner - though in future i might use a foam wash first to avoid scratching with a sponge.

I have ordered Meguires oxidisation remover and one of their waxes for the roof.
I ordered the 303 fabric guard for the pop top canvas.

I used a Turtle wax Colour white polish which is genlter than T cut on the white bit of the sides
then an autoglym high shine wax.

Have also ordered a rubber trim conditioner and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the trims.
I used white spirit to remove the bulging mastic from the top trim and acetone to get rid of the gunk left from removed stickers,

Im still 100% stuck on how to remove my canvas so i can wash it without getting the inside of the van sopping wet! it has mildew which i could clean in situ but wouldnt be able to sufficiently rinse it

Check the blog posts. I seem to remember following a how to when we removed our canvas. It’s not the simplest of jobs and you do need good weather.

You need to test a small area of the poptop fabric by bleaching, leave and then sponge off well with water. Remember the material is waterproof. I have cleaned 3 poptops on different vans and not had a problem. I have however removed the seat cushions and furnishings just to be safe.
