Just wondering what people use on there vans, has anyone got one of these fitted Nemesis Ultra Wheel clamp.
Are there certain clamps that won't fit ?
I have a hitch lock and a bulldog type clamp that clamps around the wheel and tyre. But it leaves the wheel nuts exposed.
Thanks in advance

I used a Bulldog Euro for many years but swapped to the Nemeis Ultra when I collected my new van. I have alloy wheels but I think I recall somebody saying it is not suitable for steel wheels due to the mounting bolt it uses replacing one of the caravan bolts and being exposed.
I much prefer it due to weight, size and ease of use. I sourced mine second hand on Gumtree so it was not a silly price.

I'm not sure that I would agree it can be put on with one hand, but it seems to be a good lock. It will fit some steel wheels as well, as it has 2 different receiver bolts, you just use which one is appropriate. the purple one that Towsure sell doesn't seem to have the full kit so is cheaper.

Hi John

We used a Bulldog Titan Clamp when we first got our troll. However it was a very solid piece of kit and very heavy. Not concentrating fully once when I was putting it on I hurt my hand quite badly when when one of the arms slipped down. Purely my fault but it got me thinking. Now we only use this heavyweight when we overwinter the van.

For everyday use I moved to a much lighter SAS Super Clamp Duo. It goes on and off quite easily - not sure if that means that a thief without the key would get it off as easily. But I haven't nearly taken any fingers off with it so that's a bonus.

Quite a choice then, on our old tourer, we had an Alko secure that you had to line up with a carrier on the hub/axle. It could be a pain to line.
Thanks for the advice

We have a Nemesys Ultra and steel wheels. The receiver bolts are just different lengths to ensure that you can fit the clamp right up against the wheel. Both are for conical seats whereas the steel wheels have ball seats. I use a conversion washer which ensures full contact between the bolt and wheel. I do frequently check the torque of this and other wheel bolts and no problems so far with bolts loosening.

You might want to check with your insurance company. They may stipulate a certain type or standard of wheel clamp/hitchlock.
