I never really bothered with any of our other vans, in respect to chassis issues, they were fully galvanized and it just wasn't an issue.
Not so on our vintage of Eriba, a metal frame that rusts, so today I mixed up my favorite concoction of gloop... engine oil and a splash of Diesel, in my trusty oil can with flexi spout.
I have used this system for years on my fleet of old cars and they are all pretty solid.

Overalls on, old carpet rolled under Erica's never regions and away I went, carefully squirting and wiping as I went. Pumping into the little holes in the frame too. There was a slight bit of surface rust on a couple of end pieces of frame, but on the whole, she is very solid.
I have known this van from new and it was only used twice and never in the winter the rest of the time she was covered.

Anyway, I will do this every year from now on to keep everything fine.
And next week we are off to see John England to get some interior issues sorted, plus a few other things

Your underseal efforts might have been in vain, John.

After crawling under your van to run the new motor mover switch cable there appears to be more gunk on me than on the chassis.

I stink like a scrap yard Alsatian
