I've also got a serious case of garage envy. Mine's 10 x 5.5m and it's the only time I've ever been able to say I've got a big one.

Today Waseem posted another video on Facebook to show the progress he is making with building his perfect Eriba. Unfortunately we can't share the video yet but Waseem will soon be bringing his YouTube postings up to date.

Hi all
Though I’ve been on the group since last year, I think a reintroduction is in order
I am from Toronto, Canada and last year, I bought a bare Hymer Touring GT 540 Fiberglass shell with the intention of building a travel trailer myself. As a bit of background, my travel trailer is based on an Eriba. Erwin Hymer set up a plant in Canada in 2019 to manufacture a replica of Eribas but went bankrupt, auctioned off all their stock, and thats how these bare shells and all other parts and accessories ended up scattered all over Ontario. We formed a group here and quite a few of us are building our own trailers off these parts.
This video is just a very brief peak at where my build is, one year on.
I have documented the start of my project on my Youtube channel but then got so overwhelmed by the project, I recorded it, but have'nt been able to post any videos. Now … I plan to do that over the coming few months.

For those in the group who are unfamiliar - Vincent is my self-built fiberglass Eriba clone 😊 and I am currently on a three month long road-trip along Route 66 in the US.

The “Eriba” has surpassed my every expectation. I built with the intention for it to be a self sustained totally off-grid live aboard kind of vessel, and it had delivered on every front. The solar has kept me going even for three consecutive pouring rainy days, the Truma Combi keeps it toasty, I love my hot showers in the morning, and its been rock solid on the road. I never camp at sites, always off grid. Its called boondocking in the US 😊

Just came back from a 52 day tour of Atlantic Canada (Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & Newfoundland). Wild camped ( we call it boondocking here in North America) all 52 nights along some of the most epic landscapes in Canada.
Put Atlantic Canada, especially Newfoundland on your bucket list. You wont be disappointed 👍🏼
