Hi

V close to finding my much desired Eribacar, its 1992 saying no more as yet!!
Does anyone know the wood species/grain used by Eriba, I'm guessing at Cherry but not sure.
I need it to match with existing in the van

Ian, it might be Pear, but I would not worry about exact timber match as over the years all timbers, or veneers of them do different things and change when subjected to light.
I machined up some timber when altering the cabinet work of my previous Eriba. I used Beech [pale in colour, not red steamed] and gave it a light cherry spirit stain before a finishing with satin acrylic varnish. This gave a good match and whilst not identical did not stand out as being something new.
