Gas struts

Hi folks, I wonder if anyone could give me some advice please. The front gas locker on our 1997 430 is acting like a guillotine as the gas struts have failed and I want to fix it Just like the kiss this is another way for Eribas to show their love for us!
I've got the label off one of the struts where it should be able to see the Newtons but I think over the years this has worn away.

I'm going to get two new struts from SGS and would appreciate some guidance over the Newtons please. Are they actually all pretty much the same does anyone know?
Best, Stan

Hi folks. Anyone got an idea please as I want to get this sorted. Maybe regassing is the answer but would appreciate some advice.

John England is your best bet, Stan. He knows everything.

This thread....
Gas locker door adjustment
refers to SGS offering a regassing service.

Cheers Steve. That's a helpful thread and it looks like regassing is the best option. May be some fun and games getting them off and on again...
