New Eriba but no gas

Just had a new Triton 430GT delivered. Struggling to get gas working. It is a new cylinder. We have gas cylinder open, yellow valve beside the regulator vertical in line with the pipe and the isolation valve beside the cooker open (pointing vertically). Turned on gas burner holding in switch and clicked ignition. Probably held it in and tried to ignite for at least 10 minutes with nothing happening, repeated a number of times. Spoke to dealer who said it would be an airlock but should come through eventually. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Have you opened all the red isolation valve? There's a possibility the labels on them are incorrect.

Can you hear/smell gas from the burners when the valve is turned on and pressed?

Can you see the ignition spark next to the burners?

Yes have tried that. There is an ignition spark.

Have you opened the red valve, in a cupboard under the sink, it's with a similar valve for the fridge and one for the gas boiler (if fitted). The arrow on it should be in line with the flow required.

Zoom in on the picture attached. Where the hose joins the gas bottle fitting you will see a green button/valve. Press this and you might have some success.

I was just going to say, is there a green button on the gas pigtail and has it been pushed in?

No point in pressing ignition 'til you can hear gas coming through.

Are these safety hoses standard fit on new vans, Colin?

There isn't a green button but there is what looks like a button but has a black cover. I will see if I can press this.

I cannot remember John. I supplied the bottle for my 2017 van when I collected it new and a T piece along with hose to my Campingaz, but I'm not sure about the safety hose.

If your 'black button' is next to or on the regulator it will be the test point for a manometer.

Problem solved thanks to all. Dealer never mentioned this button and we didn't have one on last van. I thought there must have been a valve somewhere but couldn't work out where it could be!

Which button did you have to press, Iana?

Looking at the latest Truma reg. instructions there's the hose rupture protection button Colin mentioned and a yellow crash sensor reset button. No others are mentioned.

It is part of the brass fitting at the end of the hose just next to the threaded part that screws into the bottle. It is a small black button, I hadn't realised it was a button and had tried turning it but that obviously made no difference.
