I have a Nemesis Ultra on my 2017 Triton. I believe this has the same wheels as your Troll. It is compact, lightweight, easy and quick to fit, insurance approved and although a bit pricey readily available 2nd hand. It recall paying about £50 for mine. It also looks quite nice.

How much at risk are our pride and joys? Does anyone know any actual statistics? We’re insured with SAGA, they give a discount if you use security devices but don’t seem bothered by what brand of device. I did ask but so long as you’ve got them that seems to be all they’re bothered about it. Is it because any device can be beaten or is that Eriba thefts are rare or have they just factored it all in to the cost and are taking the risk?
We have a fairly basic wheel clamp and a hitch lock which we use at home although van is behind locked gates. Don’t use them on site or enroute. Am I being blasé or not?

Despite some saying do not use a hitch lock when towing, I have always done so. I believe the C&MC say do not do this, but recall them taking a punter out at Manchester show and seeing the lock in place. When on site I put the wheel lock on. It only takes 20 seconds.

Are your wheels steel or alloy?
The Wraith is only supplied with a conical-seat bolt suitable for ally wheels. I had a long conversation via e-mail with Milenco about this as we have steel wheels with a spherical-seat bolt on our Triton. The upshot was that they were working on it but couldn’t help me at the time. I suspect nothing has changed in the interim due to Covid. I ended up making myself a spherical seat washer with a conical hole for the alloy bolt seat. Interesting turning exercise, it was time consuming but it works so why Milenco have not found a solution yet defeats me. It’s simple, either make a spherical-seat bolt or make a washer. Either should be a doddle for any half decent manufactory.
The only issue with the Wraith then is ensuring you position it such that the narrow end avoids the steel flange of the wheel at the tyre bead. It needs to be inside this to sit flush to the wheel, easy to do as you fit it if you remember and I am very pleased with mine, it takes seconds to fit or remove, more convenient than any other wheel clamp I’ve tried.

Sometimes buyers lose their marbles on Ebay.
I recall some Denby Craftsman mug seconds selling on Ebay for £10 when a lot of shops were selling them at 25% off for £9.37.
