I've spent a fair bit of time chasing tyres over the internet for Mrs eribaMotters VW Up and thought how about caravan tyres. Delivered to an address of your choice, you can get them fitted and balanced for about £10/12 typically at a local tyre outlet.
https://www.mytyres.co.uk/product/R-3083...awin&Country=UK
https://www.ractyres.co.uk/gt-radial/max...very_prices=yes
If you check the EAN: No on both you will find they are the same tyre, 6932877101549.
I think £50.78 is a pretty good price.

I have just ordered some new tyres. Had a look at the RAC site and asked them how fresh the tyres would be. All they could say is that they could legally sell tyres up to 5 years old. Also you could only return them if you bought as part of a fitting package, plus £20 delivery. Mytyres say theirs could be up to 2 years from manf. date, but deliver free, and accept returns up to 14 days from date of delivery without even requiring a reason. They will collect them free within the 14 days. You can also return them up to 30 days from receipt but have to bear the transport costs. Ended up going for the Barum Vanis 2 which were originally fitted at about £71 each. I doubt if they will be made in the last 3 months but have the option to reject them if they are too old.
Incidentally, just had our service and the fitter said he is having trouble getting caravan tyres due to the increase in popularity of caravanning. Mytyres say they had these in stock. Will let you know when they arrive, what the manufacture date is.

That's very useful Steve, I'll have to remember to come back to this thread. I recall using e-tyres for my Famila some years ago. These were a car tyre and they had a special on offer at the time but advised me against it when they realised I wanted a recent manufacture date as they were to go on a caravan They actually checked stock for manufacture date which I was impressed with.
The short supply could ironically be a good thing as there should be less chance of getting an old tyre that has been on a shelf for a year.

GT tyres are Gajah Tunggal from Indonesia, personally i would always use a name brand. The Japanese brands are superb & of course your major western brands. I changed all mine when i bought my caravan, the tyres were two years old when the caravan was built and not a common size 185/70r13

On our current [4th] Eriba we also have the Barum Vanis 2 and I'm happy with them, Our 2nd Eriba had Matador and they were not good. Our 3rd Eriba had the GT on when I bought it and as such that is what I replaced them with.
I cannot see any financial or engineering sense in fitting premium grade tyres to a caravan. They are not subjected to the same loads a car tyre is, ie steering and power transmission forces.

Repeat posting. Looks like a glitch on the forum.

still waiting delivery of my tyres from My Tyres. They went into customs at Oldbury on 9th November and nothing heard since. Getting a bit beyond a joke now. Fortunately I don’t actually need them just now. I had listed our 420 for sale and we are more reluctant than we first thought so veering towards keeping it now. Instead I am looking at getting a couple of new rims so I can keep the old tyres to use over the winter or other prolonged storage periods, and switch to the new ones prior to a trip.
As for recommending My Tyres, I think they would probably be ok it they had the tyres you wanted in the UK but if they have to bring them over from Germany as in my case, maybe not!

Finally got closure on this. My Tyres contacted me last night to say "sorry but DHL have lost your tyres". They have offered to replace them , or a full refund. I don't think it is fair to blame My Tyres for this failure but will certainly check that the tyres are actually in the UK before ordering anything else.

Further to my saga with my tyres, no prizes for what happened as soon as I got my new tyres from a different supplier..... you got it, DHL texted me to say they will deliver my packages the following day (this is a month and half after placing my initial order). I have deferred delivery whilst MyTyres arrange return to them.
