in the washroom cupboard. Not sure if the electrics differ from "standard"...

I can see a few things that need maintenance - the pipe clip underneath, for one. I have already tidied up the electrics and put new double sided pads on the fuse holder

Thanks for that informative breakdown.
I note from the pix of the whalemaster socket that there is no (apparent) electrical connection.
Does that imply that you are using an inboard pump ?
What is that connection hidden by the elegant guttering ?

That's the back of the Whale socket, which goes through the wall of the caravan. There are electrics built in (the two metal clips visible either side at the bottom of the socket), because the pump is on the end of the pipe that goes in the Aquaroll - sorry, forgot to photograph that!

There are really good instructions on whalepumps.com

here's what the submersible pump looks like, plus a section from the Whale catalogue with the compatible parts fitted to my Eriba

Looking at their website, you can either build a pressurised, or non pressurised system. The non pressurised system is for microswitches taps...

I can trace wiring if helpful and work out if mine is pressurised or non pressurised!!

Well I think I'm going to go down the tap micro-switch route and I've got a pretty good idea of the wiring, including a relay.
My concern is the routing of the pipework now and making sure it's all nice and tidy.
When you installed your water socket on the exterior, does it come through into the interior in that area under the cupboard behind the gas heater ?
There seems to be various pipes disappearing through the floor there and it would be handy for the electrical connections.

Unfortunately I didn't install it - it came with the van. I would have done it slightly differently, I think. It looks like the power comes from the cupboard under the washroom sink - maybe the supply to the tap? I'll have to investigate further. It then goes to the outside connection socket, which is between the WC and the washroom cupboard as shown

"between the WC and the washroom cupboard as shown"
Ah yes.- where you put the bit of guttering.

I'm awaiting parts today and will begin the installation hopefully this afternoon.
Think I have it all clear in my mind now (thanks to all the lovely EribaFolk) and my first move will be to locate the water socket on the van and work back from there.
For me the best place, I think, is in the bottom of the wardrobe, behind the Truma.
Will let you know how it goes !!
