I've visited both Cordoba and Grenada before and the Mezquita and Alhambra are both extraordinary sights. If you do ever get the chance to get to Cordoba, do take it Randa.. Seville is a place I am looking forward to getting to know better with only a brief whistle stop once before. None of these visits were in the Eriba, of course. Tickets for the Alhambra have already been purchased for a 10:00 slot. I'll see if we can squeeze a trip to Ronda in. Not in the plan at the moment but I'll see what we can do...

Be like us Brian, we tend to book a crosing just a week or 2 before we go. I know we miss out on offers on ferries but we never like to book far in advance, you never know what's around the corner. In my case another minor op to have another skin cancer removed. Now waitig for the results which can be up to 10 weeks!!!

With a good write up to follow as always Mr. Calder.A bit of military history et all !
We are heading to France for 3 weeks. Last in May / first two in June. Please, please let the weather Gods be merciful. It is my first trip abroad in 6 years.
A bit of a nostalgic trip. We did a circuit of Brittany when our kids were small, 1992, with a tent, a car with the front end damaged, VERY little money and little else. Best holiday ever ! So to a degree, the same kind of geography on this holiday. I don't want pushing beyond 200Km or so a day so we arrive and leave at Roscoff. Four Sites booked. Looking forward to seeing the Pink Granite Coast etc. again. Beautiful day here in Ireland today, I feel like taking the cover off the Eriba and reinstalling the 'puddins' but perhaps too hasty just yet.
I wish everyone safe and enjoyable holidaying this year. The organising and anticipation is great too !

Survived another winter so covers off, pop tops up and a great day for unloading the junk and letting the sun get at it all.

With knee surgery coming at some point this year, I think Eriba-ing abroad is, unfortunately, not on the cards this year. We have been invited to our French friends again in Bordeaux in June, staying in a seaside holiday flat they own in the lovely little resort of Soulac. Anything to avoid the agony of airline seats, or the interminable hobbles to departure gates at Stansted or Gatwick. And, having tried Eurostar (huge delays both ways) and SNCF trains (very nice) last year (also very expensive), we prefer to drive down and take our time about it...
I will be dreaming of taking the Eriba though...

Looks like a nice campsite, Roger...
It is with some great views and midway between Brecon and the Gower.

I hope your procedure goes well and you get off on hols soon.
Over on Facebook Eriba, there's a chap called Steve Brown who toured round Spain last early summer with his splendid dog and his photos were stunningly beautiful. He seemed to find wonderful campsites and had a great time. It's what we want to do when I finally hit the magic age of 67 over here at the end of october!!! I can feel the tapas coming my way!!!
