....yesterday.
Cleaned the blue paint off the A frame, left by my clumsiness changing the Camping Gas bottle.

Adjusted the garden shed door hasp, so we could lock it easier

Adjusted the side gate ditto

Cut our lawn and the 6 grass patches in front of all the terrace.

Moaned at AL and posted the faulty Reich remote back to them.

Then had a snooze, caught some snooker on telly and relaxed for the evening.

AL just called me back saying they have tested the remote and perfectly good.

I was just about to say a good day until the remote news. If it's all ok where does that leave you?

You're not that far from them, are you? The remote really needs to be tested with the set-up they installed; it could well be that the little aerial is not picking up the signal or something. If I were you I'd fetch them out to check it. After all, it cost a small fortune, so they owe it to you.

They should send someone out for what they charge.

I had two pjone calls from Jason yesterday. He flatly refused any thing more than he will send it back.

After being on here and seeing the comments, I emailed him again and tried to insist on them coming here and testing it.

He called me back at 6.15pm and again argued the point. He tested it and OK.

If I take the van down there he will do the same and refund fuel cost. Or I can get Reich to respond to a plea and see what happens. Gave me their phone No

I argued it wasn't good sales pitch, cuspotmer relations etc and he didn't agree saying he had done as much possible. Wouldn't even refund the £7 postage fee it cost me.
I tested it successfully at their place, it's my error in using it wrong and retune it as per manual. He says it's all in the manual. Not happy but what else is there?

Judging by what you and several others says about him, Jason certainly isn't an argue not.

I've always found Jason to be very approachable and helpful.

Further to my earlier comment, Derek, it is easy to think that the remote is faulty (been there, done that) when the problem lies in the way the operator is using it.

When you get it back, my advice would be to check it out again using the instruction manual to make sure that you are doing everything correctly. If you are still having problems after that, then contact Reich direct and take it further.

am sure I read somewhere, that some folk have issues with movers with the aerial not picking up signal, thought the fix was the aerial needed moving or extending...
perhaps am incorrect.

Edit
must admit to not reading all these posts closely, above was actually from memory.
apologies to Wordspace for mentioning same thing.

Interesting that AL have "tested" it! I guess they have access to something that operates on the same frequency? All remote's might share a "band" but they surely don't operate on exactly the same frequency? If they did when the people with movers moved then we'd be seeing a convoy

ie frequency band 27mhz each frequency might be 27.00 27.05 27.10 etc.

For them to test it they would need another unit in stock which operates on the same frequency or something like a spectrum analyser? or frequency analyser?(Maybe they have!) can't remember my analyser's
