just wondering if the yellow is an ingredient of the plastic? leeching out

Well it's certainly a possibility isn't it? I've been giving this a bit more thought over the past few hours and have dismissed anything to do with the cassette because the entire assembly is fitted as one by the manufacturer i.e. the cassette, the flush tank and everything else. On top of that I think any leaks from that area would first be noticed when the cassette itself was removed.

Of course that theory might also be a load of twaddle because the van had been standing on the dealers forecourt for the best part of six months and there was no yellowing of the floor during that period. The only two changes since that time are the use of the cassette and the addition of the bathroom matt.

There's also nothing wrong with me 'aim' although I do find the blue staining to my manly parts to be a bit annoying. Maybe I need to stand on a box before using.

You have come to the same conclusion as me I think. As for standing on a box! I thought you were used to deep water

FOUND I know now how it's happening

On return from our recent holiday, I emptied the van of mats etc ready for an internal clean before our next trip OR hibernation of the Eriba. I rolled the carpets and stowed them away and then decided to wash the bathroom mats as I lifted the top one (a proper bathroom mat in beige to match the rest of the internal mats) I noticed damp under the lower plastic mat! I bought them in and washed them in the machine and wiped the floor clean. Several days have passed now and the lower plastic mat was dried thoroughly, I left it on a piece of unused kitchen worktop, when I have just lifted it to return it to the caravan it was damp and wet underneath

So Pop540 could well be right in his post above explaing that maybe the colour was leeching out of the plastic mat, I hope so, as if it's right we have at long last FOUND the culprit, unless someone comes forward with another explanation the plastic mat will be going to the big plastic mat graveyard next time I go to the tip

Ah ha, never thought of that. She who must be obeyed also has a beige bathroom mat and if memory serves (it's stowed in the van right now) the mat also has a sort of plastic bottom surface to it. Only way to be 100% sure is that once I've cleaned up the floor using the pink stuff which arrived yesterday morning from the UK, is to try a different mat.

It is the backing of the mat, I have anticoagulant flooring and the approved door mat over it which has some rubber latex backing and it has slightly discoloured. So the best thing to do is have a bath mat cloth that you can roll up and leave it to air.
