Delamination kit ordered. Hope to get it done this weekend. Fingers crossed :-)

I've done quite a few delam repairs, Hetty, and you may need more than one lot (1 + 1/2 litres if using adhesive + hardner) to do the job, depending on the area and extent of hollowness to be repaired.

Drill a grid pattern of 8mm holes, 4" apart (don't get these numbers the wrong way round!) through the top layer of the floor and then clean up the sawdust.

If there are any joint gaps or holes under the floor these will have to be taped to prevent the quite runny mixture leaking out.

You'll need a couple of 50 or 60ml syringes to inject the mixture and sufficient 8mm dowels to plug the holes flush.

Oh yes, and a few pairs of latex gloves.

The mixture starts to go off fairly quickly so make sure you're all prepped up before mixing it.

Leave for 48hrs before walking on the repaired floor.

Chin up Louisa. I bet it'll turn out OK. What you need is to get away for a week or so in her and you'll have a complete change of heart

Well it's been a roller coaster day. finished the floor at 5pm and left it. Decided to look at it this morning and gotta say I was gutted. It was still soft. (16 hours) Anyway left it until just now (24 hours) and I'm smiling again going to give it another 24 hours as I've read this is the norm to expect it to set. Fingers crossed it's totally solid. Just the fridge to sort then and maybe rewire it to English electric sockets

If you are still having problems there is a repair shop that we used with a motor home, they repaired the floor that had delaminiated and the put a realy good floor covering in as well. Check here:-
