Want to replace this as its getting tired but need to know the length to order replacement. We have 2007 Troll which is at present in storage so cannot measure.
Can anyone advise on the the circumference of the pop top as our Eriba is in storage at this time
Thanks
Mike

If it's only a 2 inch gap I would'nt worry it's not a waterproof strip as such, more of a bump stop (according to Jandi) if you look on Ebay it is available in a variety of colours
Likes to wax and have a smooth finish! Has an empty space where once a very polished Eriba stood😎

I have no idea if my top seal has been replaced by previous owners. If I do replace it, what OUGHT it look like?
Should the squishy rubbery seal be face down onto the roof, or facing in to to the opening? (1989 round pop-up Puck, silver & red stripe model)
Thanks.

Recently replaced pop top trim on my Troll. 2007 model. easy job, including cleaning edge, 20 mins. Requires approx 9 metres
I bought from Jandi as they were £8 per mtr less than the same trim from Poole. They even reduced the quoted price when the Euro fell against the £ between order and delivery.
There are cheaper options, but I used the genuine Hymer parts
The gap is to allow some ventilation to the canvas,
the rubber is not a watertight gasket merely finishing
trim for the fibreglass top.

Horse feathers.
There's no gap on ours. The reason there's a gap is that the bloke who measured the edge trim before cutting it had his ruler in his back pocket when he sat down for lunch and didn't notice that he'd bust a bit off the end.
Gaps like that aren't intentional on these caravans. Manufacturing tolerances were measured in shrugs rather than millimetres.
You're right about it being a finishing trim rather than a seal, though.

2 gaps in this thread......one between the dropped pop top and the roof and the other where the cut ends of the trim do not quite meet.

Your troll must be the odd one out.

all the Eriba I have seen have the gap.
And incidentally, I've just looked at the photos of our 230. That didn't have a gap either, so there.
I can post the picture if you don't believe me, Mr Smartypants

You just don't want to fess up to sneaking round caravan sites in the gloaming carrying a set of steps, that's what it is.
Ventilation schmentilation. You're the one who needs the ventilation, mate - to get rid of all that hot air
