I have a Unico Bologna on order with Yorkshire Caravans of Bawrty for my new 2016 310 that I collected from AL on Monday. YCOB were cheaper than Bax and I didn't have to bank transfer the money up front as I would have had to with Bax, just paid a deposit to YCOB and balance when they ship or I collect. They couldnt have been more helpful and I see the real benefit is if there is a problem with the awning down the line, it will be easier to sort out with a UK based supplier.

Thanks I saw that one and had my Eriba with Dom. On hols not far away from him next week, and thought about the awning but I think the blue is a little bright for me, would prefer the grey. But haven't dismissed it yet so may be I will call and take a look if the image is brighter than it actually is.

Sorry, I haven't replied before. Take a deep breath and say it quickly. £1395, including 'blinderings'. Extremely well made. Just been away for a few days to Tanner Farm in Kent. We put up the awning, it took a while, but hope to improve on the two hours(!) it took and we're very happy with it. Lots of space. It absolutely poured as we took it down 3 days later but as it is in four pieces we've been able to dry it inside quite easily.

Hi, I went to see the used one and it all looked very well folded and looked after, plus not as bright a blue as the pictures could only look at a section and see the canvas but as Dom supplied my Eriba I trust him and he said it was in good condition with all the bits, wheel cover, skirt etc. so purchased the awnings from him. He has a very nice 420GT up there plus a few others if anyone is looking.

I regularly keep an eye on his website and was tempted by the 2010 430 on there but I see its sold now.

Yes, I was also considering a troll, but the triton is the right size for me, and I have to sort out a sleeping arrangement for the dogs as the only reason to upsize would be for them to have a little room rather than sleeping on my legs. So I will stick to my Triton and boot them out to the awning in summer in crates and the car in winter leaving me a van to have a good undisturbed sleep instead of furry waterbottles.

Hi

New here :-)

I just bouught a Bologna and Sun Canopy extension from Bax.....it arrived a few weeks back...

I was trying to fit it at the weeken and then found I had to fit the two "eye" lugs that sit below the rail that the horizontal poles fit onto.....has anyone avoided drilling into the van to do this ? I have asked the dealer but they are all at the show this week.

I was going to make up some small wooded pads to mount these on and then glue them on rather than drill a hole in a 4 month old van.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks

I have a 530 BTW and have measured and marked the location.

Awning looks very good but was quite expensive......I hope to have it up soon.

They don't actually go below the rail but through the rail just below the awning slot.

pic one shows one fixed to the rail

Ah. We are considering possibly a Bologna. Didn't realise that you needed to fit those awning brackets and like others are reluctant to drill into the van. Does the Verona need them too. It isn't obvious when you watch the videos on Youtube (or am I just not looking carefully enough?)

Thanks for reply...

Yes....on the same bit of aluminium but below the channel.

Is that aluminium quite thick ? I worry about puncturing the skin and invalidating the warranty......are there alternatives to screwing these on?

How di you fit yours ? Did you use the spacer provided ? My spacers are brown (!)
