I can't say I'm a great fan of Lakeland due to their, generally, high prices. But..... We're now on Remoska number 4. Number 1, glass was loose. 2 and 3 tripped supply when lid was lifted and turned over. Number 4 is new style and is still going strong. All were exchanged with no problem and no cash changing hands.

Having said that. Their value range of pans are excellent and work on induction hobs. 😃

We've finally brought a Remoska, as we were away for eight nights recently. It is absolutely fantastic.. So much so that I have continued to use it at home. Great buy, so thanks for your input everyone...

We have just returned from holiday in France and took Remoska with us. WE had just had it replaced 4 weeks ago as Mrs Nut thought it was getting too hot as the Teflon coating in the lid had gone a very light grey colour. It is normally more charcoal black colour. Lakeland exchanged it without problem but three days from the end of the holiday the light in on/off switch failed although cooker still worked until penultimate day where it failed completely.
We have had now 5 Remoska in total, three of the previous model with glass lid that all started tripping electrics and now two of the new design. I know Lakeland exchange without fail but have to question the reliability of the units bearing in mind the cost to purchase.

After at least 6 guarantee replacements (over about 14 years ! ) Our penultimate replacement , the new one without the glass lid, was also replaced because the on/off switch fell apart - So now another FOC replacement was supplied ! It looks like the new design makes the switch a bit vulnerable to knocks ! !

Still wouldn't be without our 'Remoska' in the Eriba or at home !

I always found it strange that people are impressed about getting a replacement free when a product goes wrong several times, I would rather have a good product that does not go wrong specially an electric appliance.

From reading these posts and previous on this forum and elsewhere it is clear to me that a Remoska is the "street cred" thing to have. The fact that it is inordinately expensive ( to cover the costs of replacements ) and quite unreliable does make me wonder why? The power cord attached to the handle is a serious accident waiting to happen. Each to their own.

You are probably right but ideal for caravans if no cooker. Just back from Lakeland with replacement number 5

I inherited a Remoska when my mum had a sort out about 5 years or so ago. I do not buy into gadgets, just not my thing. I had heard all the hype but thought, Oh I'll flog it. I enjoy my cooking nearly as much as I enjoy eating and a tool has to do a good job to warrant being kept.
I tried it out as an alternative to the mini ovens we had used for the boys when camping and I'm afraid to say I am impressed. At 470 watts we can use it anywhere. Ours gets used for 3 or 4 weeks summer holiday and odd weekends. It is used nearly every day over these periods. At home we also use it most weeks. Ours has been fine, so is my case unusual?
If it breaks and a replacement was not available I would buy second hand though as they are expensive, unless you get one from the Alza website. I am a Remoska convert. Bin your halogen light ovens and microwaves. [but please keep the induction hob, they are also good]

Our cooking equipment is very low tech, we use a double skillet. Basically it is two pans clipped together to make a mini oven for on top of the hob. Unfortunately they don't make them any more.

Just got a Remoska - so far so good! Much smaller and easier to pack that the Kenwood mini oven we have used for ages. Haven't been very adventurous yet but the sausages and chicken cooked so far have been very good. Got to get used to putting the lid down - upside down when inspecting how things are doing - it does get very hot!
