My comments were in no way aimed to discredit your post - I just added my 'opinion' as to the action of the VW recall ! It is only my own understanding of the process of engine management and my own 'logic' of the process of engine management ! No scientific knowledge or facts involved !

Please no 'apology' required,you have probably more evidence for your understanding, than my un-scientific views Thanks for your understanding

I reckon a firm but mutually respectful handshake is the solution to this. Not a man hug - that's probably a whisker too familiar.

And it's alt gr+e in Windows, but I have no idea whether it's the same on a Mac

Super :) Pepé found to how to do é :) :) not the same as on Windows : (option + 'e' followed by 'e').

Don't know how to do a "Hand Shake" - respect :)

New Tow Car Golf 2.0 tdi 150 ps

Hi fellow Eriba's Thanks to Ribski Hob Roger Colin for info about tow cars. As i said the Wife did not want to get rid of our 16 year old Golf 1.9 tdi had done over 100,500 miles always got us home, She wanted a trans plant ( new engine ) .Yesterday we got a nearly new Golf car 2.0 tdi 150 ps 25,000 miles on the clock £ 20 pounds road tax loads of power & it is only 4" shorter than our old Golf sticking with the Golf Sad turn into a happy one .

Happy Christmas & Great holidays see you next year Alan Hall

Well done Alan. Hope you got a good deal on your Golf Estate. Bit surprised that with one careful owner, it needed a new engine with only 100,000 on the clock.

I Think we take to much stuff with us .Went to Rome this year no trouble over the Alps a lot of Passes she use no Oil 54 miles to the Gallon it is only when the Caravan goes on she seems to be under power 110 bhp .Every think overtakes me on the motorway cruise set at 55 mph ,Jeanette has stopped Crying now all the best Alan
