Could you resize that photo and make it a bit smaller, d'you think?

3kb is awfully big, and you're really pushing the site's bandwidth limits....

Upload the video to any remote hosting site (Photobucket or Dropbox or Google Drive - there are dozens of free ones to choose from) and insert a link to its location on here.

Easy peasy.

How do you know all this stuff?
I reckon Puck90 probably read it somewhere, or someone told him.

I'd put money on either of those explanations

We bought a SilverCrest Wireless Doorbell some months back and ever since we've had lots of false alarms with it chiming and there is no one outside. It's particularly a pain in the derriere when I'm in my studio upstairs and have to try to descend quickly.
Going down stairs for me is not a swift operation these days and sure enough no one there. It's just happened for the fourth time today.

Do you not have a window upstairs that overlooks the door Derek? it would save having to come down for a look and if its someone you don't want to see you can open the window and tell them to bog off......... if that fails you could always throw the door bell at them.

Apologies Monsieur Pepe, one forgets about limits when one doesn't post many pictures. Here's the link for the

video..https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_UMGGO...iew?usp=sharing

I wasn't being serious - 3kb is positively microscopic. In fact, it's so tiny that you could post 33 of them all at once in the other place and still not get told off.

It's so small (and such a rubbish photograph ) that you can actually count the pixels

Your video, on the other hand, is a cinematic triumph. Five minutes, Mr DeMille!

Well you are quite right about the chimes, but I notice that it is still a wireless doorbell so it is probably still influenced by the frequencies of other gadgets .
Unless someone knows differently , does anyone own a Byron 101?

We have the usual gadgets at home, which connect by wifi, and so far they haven't affected the bell. That is a Byron 101.

Thanks folks, I reckon we're stuck with it.

Nev that would work perfectly, but our front door can not be seen from upstairs, cheers anyway

We reckon it's triggered either by a similar device in the vicinity or a passing vehicle. Some friends had the same issue, they live in a cul-de-sac and think it's taxis, but how the whats it can we find out and rectify? With technology creeping into every manner of gadgets it's surely a increasing problem.

Any clever thoughts out there? apart from the usual smart a*s*s.
