'As it says 'up to' I'd suggest that it's the max. you can expect in ideal conditions. It doesn't really help in estimating how long in 'normal conditions.

We had a compressor fridge (50 litre) in our campervan and the hab. battery would run out after 1.5 days without EHU. There again that included some evening lighting as we went to bed and it was before LED's. That was normally in the warmer summer months after driving from Harrogate to Edinburgh dog show at the show ground by the airport. So it was well charged on arrival.

We had a Truma Combi in our Adria Compact motorhome and it worked very well. It was an 'e' version as it was mostly run on EHU. Excellent as both a boiler and space heater.

Adria fitted it under the kitchen worktop so that it was accessible from the 'garage', at the bulkhead between the underbed 'garage' and the habitation area. When working it gave off some warmth into the garage, which was handy as the frost sensor was there and if it got too cold it triggered the dumping of up to 120 litres of fresh water that were stored in a tank taking up the whole of the double dinette seat box. Obviously as long as the interior was warmed there was no risk of the tank freezing but there have been cases where the sensor is exposed to cold whilst the water itself is relatively warm and safe.

Adria had a brilliant idea with the trunking, installing narrower diameter tubing all around the fixed transverse rear bed. It had tiny slots cut out all over it which 'leaked' warm air around the bed. Very cosy.

So, not being au fait with all the gizmos and gadgets in newer Eribas, would I be right in thinking that Hymer are taking technology only used previously in their campervans, and fitting it in the Troll 535?

I guess they're gently feeling their way, trying not to break what they have, whilst seeing if changing some elements will work without throwing out the baby. Certainly the Combi 4 is a well tried system in thousands of caravans and motorhomes but usually it's the dual fuel version that's fitted as standard.

I don't know much about the compressor fridge as they are rarely fitted to caravans, which almost exclusively have the 3-way absorption type. I guess it's very likely Hymer would have already used them in things like their Hymer Car and Hymer Van ranges.

SDA is right in the fact that the Combi 4 boiler is standard in the 535 as the gas only option. We have opted for the duel fuel version which is costing us another £465! It surprised us a little and we deliberated long and hard about the additional expense and whether it was worth it. Eventually Blueyonder delegated the decision making to me. My thoughts were I am not going to moan about having the option to use both, either or, but might well moan about not having the option. So as they say, after all its only money!

They use an analog control panel instead of the digital I net control panel. It can be interesting to se if it is easy to fit Thruma I net system to the Combi 4.
