Now I see why you asked about handles as the Liverpool one has them high set.

Maybe an apprentice fitted them there before he was told the correct fitting.

The bunk looks like a DIY job with additional support columns built in the corners.

The ad appears on Preloved too and it says 'Era 2007' but surely from 2006MY onwards vans had smooth wardrobe and washroom doors and the advertised one has panelled doors which finished in 2005?

The Liverpool one looks the better one - I too would be worried about those front grab handles though........

Being 6ft 2 how do you find the bed???

Well I messaged Liverpool and asked about the age of the van, as framed doors were last fitted in 2005 and the seller has responded that he'll check the date later.

Haven't actually slept in the bed yet but have set it up and tried it and it is very comfortable (sprung cushions) and more than long enough for me.....

Is there plenty of leg room when lying down on the bed......once you've found it!!!!

The 410, 420, 540 and 542 all have the same rear bed length of 1.90m to 1.97m or 6ft 3ins to 6ft 5.5. The difference is the curve of the rear corner.

The standard spec. 410, 420 and 540 are 2ft wide as singles but if you opt for the multi-function set up the singles can be 2ft or 2ft 6ins wide.

Most UK vans have the interior sprung option whilst the front dinette is foam only. I've slept on both and they've been fine. It's possible the foam might degrade quicker, though on both our 540's you could feel the interior springs under the cover if you ran your hand over them, but it made no difference to sitting or sleeping comfort.

He's just responded and his receipt says it's a 2005 not 2007.

I didn't ask about the handles, he's only owned it for 18 months and he didn't seem to be much of an enthusiast so he may not have even noticed.
