I have a newish Skoda Superb estate with a rectractable towbar. Anyone know if it’s ok with the alko stabiliser on a new eriba?

Does that mean a swan neck tow ball or a conventional one?

If a conventional one then you'll need an ALKO tow ball which has a longer neck than the standard one. See pic to note the difference.

The Skoda retractable towbar is the same as the one on our A3.

The release mechanism is different - ours is electrical - but that's neither here nor there. The actual towbar assembly looks to be identical, and it works fine with an Al-Ko stabiliser.

No worries.

I sent a couple of photos (with measuring tapes) to an alko dealer and they said fine although height wise it is only just over the minimum recommended height.

Appreciate everyone’s help. I’m new to this world of eriba sand want to get the essential basics right. I’ll muddle through the rest as I go.
