Exactly! Shame on you, Sir. I discovered to my horror last week that my van was similarly afflicted and the offending article was promptly removed.

Ok here's our 2004 troll 540 get that stays outside all year round with no cover on (although that may change due to the old Arthur in the elbow)

Cheap Carnauba Wax
in Improving your pride and joy and how to fix things Sun Mar 16, 2014 3:49 pmby Poptop320 • | 2.631 Posts
Taking the previous recommendations for Autoglym super resin polish for the roof and and Carnauba Wax for the sides I was gob-smacked to see that the Carnauba Wax can cost up to £795 a tin
I found Simoniz Carnauba wax in my local car store for £8 and it does just the same job as putting on a protective layer of wax with a shine. I found that its best to work in small areas and then buff , otherwise it will dry on hard and then it is difficult to buff off.

Well done, I've used it in the past and it gives good results but I found harly wax so much easier to use (it's strange how 100% carnauba actually changes between manufacturers) I would still give the car or caravan a polish first personally, but I'm fussy and enjoy doing it, whilst for some it's just another chore, I'm suffering from pain in my elbow quite badly at the moment, some of it is down to age, some is having broken my arms when younger, and some of it is down to polishing and waxing

Carnauba is added to several commercial Polishes but 100%
carnauba is used in detailing to give that "wet glossy look"
It gives the same look in lipsticks as well, not bad for waxy
flakes from a brazilian palm tree!

My friends son works at a place where they make fibreglass add-ons for lorries when asked what they used at the factory was T cut and a coating of beeswax.

From the Autoglym website I note that they also manufacturer a High Definition Wax. Not cheap at a touch over forty quid (ouch) but is reported as being non abrasive. http://www.autoglym.com/products/product...-definition-wax
