So this is what we're talking about?

Gel Coat
Gel Coat Polishing

This thread has cost us another 30 bucks and it will probably start raining by the time we take delivery of the necessary polish and wax. It was far easier in a tent

Us too - I must have bought the second to last tins of wax & polish then. Seam sealer was definitely cheaper.

Knowing what I know now, I would just wash it with Fenwicks Caravan Cleaner and polish it
before a journey with Auto Glym Resin polish and very definitely cover the roof when not in use.

On the old Bailey, I had some paint from the previous owners bump with a car door.
Knowing caravan paint ain't thick like on a car I used some Fenwicks plastic window polisher
liquid and a soft cloth, it took the paint away without cutting back the caravan paint.

I use Fenwicks caravan cleaner, although I find the Aldi caravan cleaner is just as good followed by Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler which I spray on.
My old Puck showed signs of UV damage with a chalky appearance and was impossible to get it back to a shiny finish. As I can't reach across the Familia to wax or polish itI think I will go down Rodders suggestion and get a hat for the roof.

I can't reach across mine either but I use an electric buffer (Aldi) £15 I let gravity and rotation take the buffer across the roof, sounds abit Iiffy but perfectly easy

Oh dear! We're in Randa's camp here. In 6 years of owning our Eriba she has been washed after every outing and covered up every winter, apart from this one where she was left to sink into the soft grass of the garden, rescued now, washed and covered. She has however never been waxed or fettled with any form of UV protection. What will happen to us? Are we doomed (don't panic Mr Mainwaring).

I bought a buffer and it did work well on the roof, I had forgotten that.
I will look for it as soon as.

Have a look at the gel coating especially up by the pop top where it is covered by the p/t
it is usually has nice mellow glow to it compared to the chalky roof.
Use something to cut it back a little at a time Auto Glym Resin polish it, wax it cover it when
not in use and it will look good for years.

Well, the covers are off Gnoll the Troll so lets hope the weather stays fine and the polish and wax arrive soon.

And why may I ask have you got a forum sticker planted firmly in your back window? Where's mine. And is that a shaving mirror on the right hand side?

Now if you and I had met you would realise that is a silly question.

Why - have you got two heads then? You're not using up precious ribbon ink like on a typewriter you know - it's all digital nowadays so no need for brevity in answering questions. Can't be a reversing mirror cos you can't possibly see that far back from the cars rear view mirror. Now I suppose you'll go and say that you've got a long neck.

OK, the sticker is DIY - so what, you've got my address, I'll happily accept anything.
