No don't worry I'm on the 303 plan
I have spoken to a good friend of mine who owns a car spraying company, he says if I'm worried about "overspray" affecting the grp then use baking foil to mask of the area he says just attach it with black electricians tape and the fold up the bottom edge and fold in each end by about an inch, that will catch any run off (not that he expects any but he said it's belt and braces and next to nothing will permeate the foil)

Well I never! I went to the bottom of our garden at 07.40hrs and stripped the canvas off easy peasy. Just 2 philips screwdivers and a bit of effort, I am now having a cuppa before giving the canvas a good clean, although except for the places which were hidden when it was fitted it is really
Clean.
Wifey tells me my 2nd bottle of 303 has just arrived via courier I doubt I will finish it today as I have our grandson to look after on my own (no problem, he is nearly 2 and I am teaching him BLOKE stuff lol )
I will let you know how I get on, I'll try not to swear! Honest!
32oz = £22.99 from Zizy pools in Bournemouth

THANKYOU to all those who have responded to my cry for help
As I said earlier I removed the canvas quite easily and it was relatively clean, but I thought I would clean it anyway. I went to Attwools who do canvas builds and repairs on a big scale, I was advised washing if fine BUT at no more than 30° and with soap flakes (which we had anyway) as I had the canvas with me the lady also suggested adding bi-carb into the wash in a 50 -50 mix with the soap flakes. I put it in the machine and emptied a couple of 2ltr bottles of cold water into the drum (as although we have a 30° setting I wanted to ensure it was at that or below).
It came out spotless and is much cleaner than my relatively clean mentioned above. I have a few loose threads to cut off and a couple of very minor bits of damage (these are best described as wear on the upper attachment, in places a couple of one inch tears These I believe were probably done on installation or by the previous owner as this morning it came out so easily.
Hopefully on Thursday I can treat the canvas and on Friday I can attemp to replace it. I am going to run my awning rail opener through the upper attachment first though

Tomorrows the day for 303 application as I washed the fabric I am going to treat both sides of the fabric, I'll start with the outside first and if I have enough left over (2 × 32oz sprays) I'll do the inside after
Hopefully Friday will see the refit of the treated fabric to the Troll I bought new stainless screws for the refit.
Next job is to fit new friction pads to my stabiliser (which thankfully has been covered by otbers recently)

All sprayed up and now drying nicely on the line
I used nearly a full bottle and only did the outside, this because the fluid permeates through the fabric and you can see it is damp ont the inner surface
Just a tip, start at the top, as I say the fluid permeates through, but it also runs, so you could possibly save some if you wanted to.
I got mine from Zizy pools in Bournemouth, highly efficeint and cheapest I could find
Now sat in Highfield garden centre restaurant having a coffee, looking at the place where some of you are having the summer meet

At 17.30hrs Jen and I went to the Eriba with our newly cleaned and reproofed canvas it is now refitted completely finished
I have to be honest and I am certainly not an expert, BUT if I was doing this again I would do exactly the same ie remove the canvas, once you find the bulge () on the roof where the canvas is slid in and out of it is easy.
For me to have masked off the upper underside roof and the lower topside roof would of taken quite a while and you still have the risk of the 303 fabric reproofer running or permeating onto either of those surfaces
I am also looking at either buying a new piece of sunbrella fabric and hopefully Jen can make a new pop top canvas in a different colour OR I buy one from one of the people who specialise in copying an original piece. So if anyone knows where I can get a copy canvas made please let me know
A big THANKYOU to those that offered advice, help and encouragement

Well done, Graham. You can now give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
Clearly you were right to remove the canvas rather than mask it as I had suggested as it turned out to not only to be easier but it delivered a superior end result.
When mine needs attention I'll be coming to you for advice.

I expect I'll see you at the summer meet I'm not booked on due to proximity (only 6 miles from me) but I will pop in and hope to meet a few people and also thank them
I have also enquired about a new canvas copy (just sent the email) so I am awaiting a price and delivery estimate
