2017 Triton door lock

We have recently been locked out of our caravan on two occasions.
The door was unlocked and locked itself when we closed the door.
On the first instance all the keys were inside, fortunately the washroom window was partially unlatched and we managed to gain access to the caravan.
On the second occasion I had the keys with me so just unlocked the door to gain access.
We would have had problems if the washroom window had been locked as we were on a remote site with both the car and caravan keys locked inside the caravan.
Has anyone else had this problem with the door lock?

We got our 2016 Troll in February last year and It happened a couple of times while sat on the drive, thankfully we have spare keys in the house. I never close the door now unless the key is in my pocket.

Sounds to me like a new lock should be fitted under warranty, not just an inspection and adjust. This is not acceptable.

It's appears to be a common problem with the new Eribas, it seems that when the door is shut the locking lever on the inside flicks up. My 2012 Familia never did it, however my 2015 Familia has done it a couple of times. They did have a look at it under warranty but it behaved itself, I now carry a spare key secreted just in case it goes rogue again...

Had this problem on my 2013 Troll and replaced the lock.
Made no difference!
The internal locking lever flicked up if the door was shut ‘heavily’ (blown or slammed).
Annoyingly the door had to be pushed quite firmly to close properly.
A hidden key saved us, apart from the occasion I forgot where it was hidden 😀

I keep the spare in the car but unfortunatly the car keys were in the caravan when we were locked out.
I think a spare key hidden on the caravan chassis may be the answer.
Now I keep the car keys in my pocket at all times.
Will get it looked at when the caravan goes in for its first service in November.

Hmm, actually happened to us too on our 2017 420 Triton. The issue was resolved under guarantee on our first service visit and I think all that was required was for the lock mechanism to be eased a bit. No sweat .
