Internal long mirror

We're looking to fit a long(ish) mirror to the wardrobe door in our Troll 540. Around 80 cm x 25 cm. Ideally glass, rather than acrylic

We've looked online, and the main problem is we're not sure what weight the door will support, so any guidance from learned eribanauts would be gratefully received.

I believe you have one of the newer vans, and if so would not advise a glass mirror. The door would take the weight but the screws for the mirror mounts would more than likely not get a good fixing into the plywood of the door.
I would go for mirrored acrylic and fix it with strips of double sided glazing tape. This is similar to the pads you use for number plate fixing only on a roll and a fraction of the cost.
If/when the mirror needed replacing you could pull a length of fishing line through the pads, clean area with solvent and start again. You should not damage the surface by pulling away the thin veneer on the door.

we did look at acrylic, but there were some comments about distortion. We'll have another look. Thanks.

Remember the old fashioned fairground mirrors?

You could make yourself a bob or two by charging your fellow campers to stand in front of it and pull faces. What a hoot!
