Fly Screen in 530

I have recently taken delivery of a Rockabilly 530 from Automotive Leisure; generally, I am happy with the caravan but amongst some other minor issues, I have a problem with the fly screen in the bathroom. It will pull down but not stay in place, I am loathe to take it back to Poole just now as it means a round trip of 240 miles and I am sure other issues will arise that will subsequently justify that trip. In the meantime is there some way of adjusting the blind so that it stays down or does the unit require need replacing? Any advice would be appreciated, with thanks.

Depending upon owners maual, it should be section 12.6 - Adjusting the springs of the blind and the insect screen

Thank you Colin. I keep the Owners manual in the caravan, in storage so will pop down this week-end and see if I can adjust it......just the sort of advice I was looking for, once again thank you!

At the bottom of each runner there is a hook which the pins at the bottom of the blind catches onto when fully lowered - you sometimes have to twist the blind back to locate the pins in the hooks.

John, Thanks I will try that; twisting the screen did not produce the desired effect earlier this week but now I have some specific advice it may be worth trying again, although I suspect the springs need adjusting as the tension just seems too strong.
Again thanks, Bathchap

Blind tension always seems excessive on the narrow blinds because they weigh less - and you tend to pull down with one hand instead of two.

You'll find the easest blind to pull down is the larger rear window one, and the medium-width front blinds will be halfway between the two.

We're struggling to get the hang of them too, it helps to push at either end of the fly screen rather than use the single pull in the middle.
