Also. When pricing it up. The Triton 430 cannot have an awning. Messaged the guy and that was a mistake. That was a major selling point and perhaps £25k is maybe not a great deal now.

Andy I think you need a bit more of a chat with your potential dealer, you can have an awning cassette on a Triton it is listed as an option in the price list and the offer you posted from the dealer said 1400kgs uprated axle!

Your spec shows roof awning with led light. In the pricelist I posted #7 this is listed as V30522107 and is a £1050 option.
This will take a front panel and sides at extra cost. Alternatively it has a groove along the front edge and you could slide in a campervan style drive away awning.

Thanks guys. Yes i have spoke to the dealer. The awning and the 1400 chassis was incorrect but price stays at £25k

We bought our first Eriba a Triton 430GT 2006 model last November. We paid 14k including blowup awning, Reich mover and a host of extras. We could have bought a white box far newer and less expensive but SWMBO insisted on an Eriba.
We were happy with the price BUT every time we had a handover date we were hit by Covid restrictions! So we have not seen it since. :-(

Oh that's a bugger It would be nice to get it home so that you can at least sit in it and play around with it. Do you have to go far to collect it?

Bugger is putting it mildly! SWBO has been collecting "accessories" and they have taken over the spare room. We are near Skegvegas and the van is across the Humber Bridge, dealer closed due to Covid.

I'd have to be banging on the dealer's door the first morning he re-opened after lockdown.

If your wife has already been buying extras and accessories just wait until you get it home. My wife Kath is still buying bits and pieces and we are in our fifth year of ownership....................................

They have now pulled out of the deal for the new van as they got pretty much everything wrong. It doesn’t have the awning, not the 1400 chassis or the 60th anniversary edition. Part of the deal was also a Reich easy driver 1.8 which they have listed as £1600. I looked on the internet and they are £840.
So from accepting £25k with all the bits, they now want £25955 with non of the extras.

Andy, if you are really after new then I would contact ALV, Red Lion and Highbridge caravans for a full detailed specification and price of what they have coming in as they are all awaiting stock. I bought from Lowdhams who were best on price but not on service.
The Reich mover is the most commonly fitted, but the mover price is confusing. Forget the £840 internet prices, you need special brackets fabricating and the installation is not standard.I would expect a main dealer fit price of £1500 and an independent mover company price about £200/300 less. I believe Red Lion are going to fit PowerTouch with specialist plates made for them. At present they fit this make to the Going caravans they sell and have an engineer make the brackets they require.

Are you prepared to name and shame the dealer so others can be aware to tread carefully. There intentions may be good but they are obviously out of there depth and paperwork obviously needs double checking.
