Has anyone fitted these to the wheels of their caravan to stop the tyres coming off in the event of a blowout? If so what is your view of them, are they a good idea, value for money? Thanks.

Hi wooliew. Some folk have Tyron bands fitted. There are a number of threads about them, Search for:- tyron bands.

Here's one thread:- Can you get "run-flat" tyres to fit an Eriba?

The consensus is that fitting a TPMS system, which can give advance warning of a deflating tyre is probably more useful than something that works after the tyre has deflated.

If a tyre suddenly blows you won't get any notice. Shouldn't happen if your tyres are in good condition though. We've always had Tyron bands on caravans for piece of mind.
