i need some help please....i need to know the wheel size of a 1977 eriba eribette. ...i can't seem to find any specifications anywhere. any help would be appriciated

I see from another topic you already have the van, is the size not on the tyres?

185	The tyre section width in millimetres
60	The aspect ratio in % (the height of the sidewall divided by the tyre's width)
R	Denotes the tyre's construction type - in this case it's a radial
14	Rim diameter in inches
82	Load Index
 

Item 5 is the rim dia (wheel size) in this case its 14 inches
this information should be on your tyres

Can I ask a nosey question?

Are you wondering whether or not your Eribette has the correct wheels?

The reason I ask is that in virtually all the photographs I've seen on here and on Google, Eribette wheels are quite a lot bigger than the ones on yours in the gallery photograph.

I'm not being critical, but those in the picture don't look quite right. They seem too small and with insufficient offset - in other words they look too 'tucked-in'. I really am guessing here, but I wonder if they were fitted to accommodate a lower hitch height - the van sits pretty level behind that VW, but I reckon it would be well nose-down with the wheels that most other Eribettes appear to have.

These, for example, fill the wheel arches much better, and most others seem to be a similar size to those.

this is why I'm asking....they just look too small to me and wanted to check before going anywhere but i can't find any measurements on the internet that can help me....might get the mobile mechanic to come and have a look....there's plenty of room for bigger wheels

I've contacted Christophe Brice about this matter. If anyone knows the answer he will.

My immediate thoughts are that the wheel size should be the same as the Puck which I believe are 10". What size are they on your Eribelle Marie?

It's only a semi-educated guess, but I reckon those on the second picture - the one of the German van - are twelves rather than tens.

It'll be interesting to find out what they ought to be.

Hi Marie. Yes, we,ve seen the pics.

Can't see a tyre size on there but first of all the max. load of each tyre (590 lbs) which equals 267kg looks to be too low for the Eribette. On the first link to the French forum Christophe is quoting a max. load of 620 kgs and 267 X 2 = 534kg only
