Thought I would wash and polish the Troll roof. Washing not a problem with extendable soft brush but I wanted better access for polishing. So I put a scaffold board between two step ladders which seemed nice and stable. However getting on it was not easy so I put a spare caravan step next to a teak garden table next to the ladders. Easy peasy, step one, step two onto scaffold board allowing me to polish halfway across the roof. Frances wandered by saying we need to pressure wash and oil the table. I step off the board onto the table which exploded into a cloud of splinters and swearing as I went through it pulling the board and ladders down on top. Luckily nothing broken except the table.
I will do the other half when the bruising and pain subsides and after I have bought some better staging.
Be careful out there!

Ouch ! (only one exclamation mark, ref P le P )

We use a two way folding ladder/steps, in the single ladder mode, with pipe lagging tubes on the stringers where it leans against the Eriba eaves rail. Perhaps also a tube on the rung where it comes near to the roof curve. Plenty of height to reach the centre of the roof.

Too many pies and alcohol can have serious consequences for the unwary.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt, old fruit.

I used to use an "easel" ladder to do ours, it is difficult whstdver method you adopt, I did use a microfibre extendable mop which was very useful.

Glad your ok tho, could of been much worse, thankyou for sharing as others should learn from this😎

Hope not too bad Tony. Take it easy, extra G&T tonight.
I use a step ladder and move it along. We have an extending brush.

I don't think he'd had a G&T beforehand, it was purely my idea as a recovery. I have fallen off lesser things after G&Ts
